He explains their leading clinical asset—BT-11—which is a new, oral, locally-acting molecule that specifically targets the Lanthionine Synthetase C-Like 2 (LANCL2) pathway in the GI tract for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Bassaganya-Riera has published over 100 scientific papers, secured 9 patents, and he received the 2018 Research Excellence Award from the Biocomplexity Institute of Virginia Tech.
