“I compare it to being on top of this mountain my whole life, as a trainer or coach, being fit, and my clients are at the bottom of the mountain, and from the top, it looks so easy…there’s the path, you just follow it one step at a time…then for the first time in my life, I was at the bottom, and that journey up was so much harder than I ever imagined it would be,” says Drew Manning, who decided to truly put himself in the shoes of his clients in order to experience the journey to health and fitness himself. What he learned was invaluable: mental and emotional factors are entirely inextricable from the process of achieving a state of health and fitness.

He has since founded the Fit2Fat2Fit website and authored Fit2Fat2Fit: The Unexpected Lessons from Gaining and Losing 75 lbs on Purpose, and continues to support people through the journey of achieving health and fitness—he’s just doing it from a different, more fundamental angle guided by a newfound understanding.

Drew Manning will be speaking on this topic at the 2019 Metabolic Health Summit slated for January 31-February 3 and has recently finished his second book, Complete Keto, which is a compilation of the latest and greatest keto research. It includes a 30-day program that emphasizes lessons from his Fit2Fat2Fit journey and is available now for pre-order on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
