Dr. Paul Anderson, CEO of Anderson Medical Group and Advanced Medical Therapies, delivers an insightful overview of the various types of integrative cancer therapies that may be options for patients.
Dr. Anderson, N.M.D., a naturopathic medical doctor and medical director is the founder of the Anderson Medical Group. Additionally, his center, Advanced Medical Therapies is a groundbreaking institution that provides therapies in multiple modalities for advanced patient care and support.
Dr. Anderson talks about his background in integrative medicine and his particular interest in cancer therapies. As he states, when he began in this field, there was not a lot being done in regard to integrative therapies, but over time the medical community began to see the many potential benefits. Dr. Anderson talks about options other than just simply chemo, radiation, and surgery… the big three as they are referred to. He doesn’t discount the importance of the big three, but he states that there are many ways to work with the immune system and the normal cells to keep things on track.
Dr. Anderson speaks about diet and nutrition, intermittent fasting, and herbal extracts, etc. that form the base of their care platform, as well as injection and intravenous type therapies using natural substances (various strengths of vitamin C, and others, etc.) And he discusses the benefits of exercise to increase muscle activity and potentially extend life.
The integrative therapy expert discusses ‘clean eating,’ which involves keeping outside chemicals (preservatives, etc.) out of the body. Dr. Anderson details how they work with patients in general, and how restrictive policies of the past in the oncology community are changing with the times, now with more oncology doctors becoming aware of the benefits of alternative type therapies that can enhance standard care. Dr. Anderson discusses strategies to keep patients in remission. He states that many patients who are in remission are now seeking additional options to do everything they can to stay in remission. He explains the various types of prevention and the levels of care they can offer, and what each involves in terms of diet, therapies, repair, or anything that has negatively impacted their cells, etc. Once the body has vitality, he states you must still be aggressive, and push forward on keeping sugars low, utilizing intermittent fasting, and of course clean eating to keep toxins out.
