Ryan Sullivan, Ph.D., is an atmospheric chemist, associate professor in chemistry and in mechanical engineering, and associate director of the Institute for Green Science at Carnegie Mellon University.  Sullivan states that “aerosol cloud interactions are one of the largest sources of uncertainty in our ability to understand and predict how human activities are changing our planet’s climate.”   He is currently focusing his research efforts on learning about how particles in the atmosphere react with clouds, and how those reactions ultimately affect the climate.
