Dr. Hasudungan talks about how he became interested in medical videos. Starting out as a student who was more interested in artistic endeavors, he found that some of his required classes in medical science topics were fairly obtuse and complex. Hasudungan began to experiment with new ways of learning, in hopes that he could find a way to retain complex medical and scientific information more easily. After much experimentation, he concluded that a more visually-oriented presentation of complex subject matter would make it easier to grasp and retain.

Dr. Hasudungan discusses how he began to draw out complex concepts and then record them to video as a means to learn. After posting some of his early explainer videos online, he discovered that many other people found this method of learning to be extremely useful as well, and thus, a new hobby was born.

The science educator discusses the techniques he uses during the creation of his popular YouTube videos. He talks about the graphics and in particular his drawing style and how he has improved his visuals immensely since that first video. Dr. Hasudungan provides an overview of the many complex topics he covers, and how he tries to encompass multiple elements into his videos to make them thorough and easy to follow.
